Salty Dogs Seafood and Grill in Maggie Valley

Was seated very quickly and food was delicious and the portions were great. Would definitely come back.

Drinks were weak as hell and food was cold as my ex's heart. Left more in the basket than we ate.

Horrible service. Had 4 different waitresses. People that came in after us ate paid and left. Then took 30 minutes to get our check and even longer to get our card back. They definitely are not staffed to run this place.

One of the sorriest places I have ever been. Sorry service,very dirty, unclean tables. My fish tastes like it was boiled in mop water before it was fried. My wife's Steak is mushy like an apple. No customer service at all. Waitress brings our food out and starts dancing as we ask for A1, which they don't have and she says "I really have to pee" Very over priced. I will definitely not be back.

Food was very good and servings were large. The seafood chowder was very good. The service was good and very friendly. We would go back.

Food is delicious. Would recommend this place to anyone. Will definitely be back!

Don't know if it's has to do with the covid-19. But the service was slow, took forever to get the food & refills on the drinks. But when reserved the food, was half decent.

Food was awesome! Seafood tasted fresh and the Ribeye steak was the best I have EVER had! Food was spot on and Angie was the best! So sweet and down to earth! Black eyed peas tasted like grammas! This place is a hidden gem!

I went to Salty Dog seafood and grill in Maggie Valley NC it was awful. I don't recommend this restaurant at all nasty. We paid $70 for garbage. But this was my first time ever eating there and my first time in Maggie Valley. Just warning everyone keep driving right pass it don't stop. Customer service was great to bad the food sucked.

Very poor service. Waited over a hour for food and 1 member of our party didn't get their meal. Everyone was done eating and their food still hadn't come. Don't waste your time.

Friendly service! We came in late after a long bike ride from Nashville. Food was awesome! Had hot bourbon and garlic parm wings and fried pickles. All excellent!

best fresh cut fries!!!! I want to go back tonight for dinner. Blackened tuna steak sandwich was excellent. Everything we order was perfect! Pork skins, lemon pepper wings, tomatoes on sandwich were fresh. Definitely a place to go, OFTEN! Server was super nice.

Probably one of the most horrific experiences I've had at a restaurant. I was traveling with my 81 year old mother in law and obviously trying to protect her from any exposure to covid-19. Server and workers wore no masks when taking our order and serving our food. I questioned the no mask use and they argued with me and gave an attitude. We waited over 30 minutes for our food to be delivered, and and the order was wrong. Skip this place while in Maggie Valley! Wouldn't set foot in there again if it were the only restaurant in town!

Came in and sat down... a little rocky start doing DIDN'T have anyone come over for a few minutes even though I talked to one girl when we came in. But when we did get the service the girl who came was GREAT! SO friendly. she took our order with a smile and then a gentleman came over and said he was taking over because she needed some help. He was also very nice. I had the blackened trout and omg yes. get it. The Green beans were great. my husband had the pecan crusted trout and it was great. But the real kicker... the absolute BEST fresh cut French fries I've EVER HAD! EVER!!!

Excellent spot for supper! Enjoyed a great meal with outstanding service.

Service was slow, check was incorrect, my trout was nothing special. But my wife's fish sandwich was terrific. My sides - homemade chips and homemade slaw - were also great.

Hair in my wife's food, long-haired guy from kitchen had no cap or hairnet, employees loud cursing from the kitchen, charged for SOMEONE ELSE'S ticket, employees wore no masks(although mandatory for customers).

Best local town restaurant I have ever ate at while on vacation. The restaurant was peaceful and empty in the evening. The food and service was amazing!! I ordered their mountain trout and I LOVED IT!!! I highly recommend this small town restaurant to any tourist :)

Good food at a reasonable price on a very busy night!

Things were not good there tonight. One couple said that had waited for 30 minutes at a table and hadn’t been waited on yet. They got up and left. Another I talked to said things just didn’t go well tonight and we might should just leave. We took his advice and left. The regular i talked to said things usually go much better at this restaurant and he eats there a couple times a week.Just a bad night for the Salty Dog.So we went back to the motel and order a pizza to be delivered.Some nights ate just like that i guess.

Been here a couple times over the years. Never disappoints! The burgers are fantastic! We always get our usual... Burger with a fried egg! Always good!

We always show up before the crowd, sometimes just after opening. But we always get great service. Yesterday, I had the best Long Island Iced tea on this side of the western hemisphere. The menu could be improved with a better description of how the salads are crafted. Great location and good atmosphere. If you're in Maggie Valley, don't hesitate to stop by here.

My most favorite place in the Valley!! You have to have a "Burger", fantastic!! Great service & the staff are so friendly. They also have daily specials & live entertainment at night. Also, an outside bar in season!! Biker friendly & full bar!! Stop on in, you won't be disappointed😀😀✌✌

No waiter came for 10 minutes, after they finally acknowledged us, we waited another 20 minutes to place our order. Thankfully, our small appetizer came 20 minutes later, but our meals would not show up for another hour. When we ordered a second beer, they sent a smaller cup, but charged us the same price. They then messed up our order and didn't correct it. The food was decent, but not worth the time or price. I would highly recommend eating elsewhere.

Good food when they have everything in stock , but very poor service and the male waitress spilled my husband's drink all over the place , takes 45 mins to get a appatizer

Great place clean. Food is wonderful. Laid back atmosphere. Plenty of food and beer choices. I text the wings. definitely come here every time we come up.

We stopped in on a Sunday evening, it took a while to get our food but we just relaxed and enjoyed the music. The food was delicious and portions were huge. I had the coconut shrimp and my husband had the seafood Alfredo, water to drink. Our bill was just under $40. There are 2 dining areas depending on personal preference, front is dining, bar and grill, with a more family type dining area to the rear. We enjoyed our visit!

Just ate at salty dogs in maggie valley and was soooooo disappointed the crableggs were not seasoned the fish and scallops and shrimp were gummy inside the hush puppies were burnt to a crisp no salt on the table couldn't get the waitress to come back to the table to fill up our drinks not going back

Had the wings. Were very good. Wife had clam strips and Fries. Also good. Menu covers seafood and sandwiches. Fries looked cut in house. Not sure if they were but they were very good. Hostess very attentive. Draft beer was 2.50 with tax. Will return . Wife was impressed with the food. She's picky.

Honestly everything about this place was horrible. Waited 20 mins for a waitress with only 3 tables seated. Another hour to get the food and was overcharged on the bill which they did fix

The place was a very small town local restaurant. The food was pretty good. I got a bowl of the seafood chowder. The bowl was a lot smaller than I was expecting and it did not fill me up. My husband got a pound of the crab and it was pretty good but he wasn’t full from it either. We ended up ordering another item on the menu. We ordered their coconut shrimp and they were really good. I wish I just ordered them from the beginning.

Maggie valley has a lot of interesting looking restaurants. Unfortunately, at 8:30 p.m., most of them had stopped seating. So we ended up exercising our final option, Salty Dog's, which looks a lot better at night with the lights on than it had during the day. We were glad we did! The food was good and plentiful, and the service was friendly. Because it was Wednesday night, Mile High, a good local country rock band provided good rousing musical entertainment. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
